Training Assessment & Behavioral Consultation

Initial consultation consists of a 60 minute consultation to identify any behavioral issues that your dog may have.

We offer practical solutions to canine behavioral issues.

We will:

  • evaluate your dog’s personality and temperament,
  • discuss your goals and specific needs,
  • develop the most effective course of action to achieve these goals.

For your convenience, appointments are available after work hours on weekdays and on Saturdays.

Puppy Training – Private and Group Classes Available

Not only can a young puppy learn, he will learn whether we teach him or not. This is the age when the most rapid learning occurs           Everything he experiences both good and bad makes a greater impression on him than it ever will again.

  • Housetraining, Puppy proofing your home, and Crate Training.
  • Acceptance to handling for Vet Exams, Nail Clipping, and Grooming.
  • Sit and Wait for meals, (discourages food aggression.)
  • Drop – Release Objects from mouth
  • Sit and Wait to enter/exit doorways, vehicles, or cross a street.
  • Calm and Quiet – Greeting friends
  • Basic Obedience Commands – Walk on  leash by your side without pulling.
  • Sit, Down, and Stay- Come when called.
  • Go to your “Place”
  • Establishing-Boundaries.
  • Safe Socialization techniques – a bad experience can traumatize a pup for life.

Basic Training & Behavior – Private and Group Classes Available

This program is for training young adults that have not received puppy training and learned some negative behavior patterns. Fortunately we can still teach older dogs obedience and correct negative/undesirable behavior.

  • Come immediately when called.
  • Walk on leash by your side without pulling.
  • Sit and wait to enter/exit doorways, vehicles, or cross a street.
  • Sit and wait for meals, (discourages food aggression.)
  • Drop – Release Objects from mouth.
  • Sit , Down, and Stay – Go to your “Place”
  • Acceptance to handling for Vet Exams, Nail Clipping, and Grooming.
  • Housetraining, Crate Training
  • Establishing-Boundaries.
  • Greet company & friends without jumping, or acting inappropriately.
  • Identify Behavioral issues, and apply practical solutions.
  • Training dogs to behave anywhere and everywhere you take them.

Advanced Off-Leash Training – Private and Group Classes Available

It’s one thing for your dog to respond to commands while on leash, but gaining off leash control is much more difficult.

Most owners want their dog to respond to commands both on and off leash.

They expect their dog to:

  • Stop whatever they are doing and come running when there owner calls.
  • To walk or jog off leash beside the owner past other dogs and people.
  • To Down and Stay where they are even in  highly distractive environments.
  • Freedom to enjoy outdoor activities without a leash and maintain complete control.

Maintenance Training – Call for Available Drop in Classes

To ensure reliability, response to commands, additional advanced training or to address any unwanted behavior patterns.
